Narrative Resilience: Our Story, In Our Voice Workshop
Moves students from silence to confidence through personal storytelling and the Elemental framework.
The "Unsolicited Ambassador" Paradox
On today's campus, Jewish students often face an unfair burden: merely by virtue of their identity, they are expected to serve as "Unsolicited Ambassadors," demanded to understand and defend complex geopolitical policies between classes.
From Anxiety to Ownership
Most students are just trying to get a degree, not be diplomats. Yet, when thrust into heated debates without preparation, they often retreat into silence. This workshop operates on the principle that you cannot effectively represent a people if you cannot first represent yourself.
We provide the tools to bridge this gap, equipping students to reflect on their own story and articulate it with confidence. The goal is to ensure that no student is ever rendered silent by a complex situation, allowing them to maintain their Jewish pride and authentic presence on campus.
Workshop 2
The Complexity Decoder
A non-anxious deep dive into competing narratives of 1948 and today.
The Anxiety of the Unknown
On campus, anxiety often stems from a fear of the unknown—the fear of being confronted with a slogan, a date, or a fact that the student doesn't know how to place. Living as a Jew or an Israeli does not automatically grant a deep understanding of the geopolitical forces shaping the region.
Security Through Context
We believe that a student cannot feel truly secure in their identity if they do not understand the history that surrounds it. This workshop provides the "Mental Map" required to navigate the conflict without getting lost.
We do not aim to memorize talking points, but to anchor the student's lived experience in a solid foundation of knowledge—from 1948 to the present. By filling these educational gaps, we allow students to feel secure, knowing they are sufficiently informed to withstand scrutiny and engage in difficult conversations without losing their footing.
Ideal Partners
Hillel directors, campus rabbis, student life teams.
We create programming that meets students where they are and builds resilience for the year ahead.
